Youth Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and lead youth programs including GOYA, JOY, HOPE/ANGELS, GOYA basketball tournament, retreats, service projects, fundraisers and summer camps.
  • Support ministries such as Sunday Church School, Greek dance, and Greek school.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with youth and families to encourage active participation in parish life.
  • Collaborate with clergy and parish council to align youth ministry with the church’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Recruit, train, and support youth ministry volunteers.
  • Manage youth ministry budget and communications (newsletter, social media, etc.).
  • Attend Metropolis and Archdiocese youth events as a youth representative of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
  • Become familiar with PushPay church management system in the support and growth of the youth ministry program at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.

Qualifications:

  • Practicing Orthodox Christian in good standing with the Church.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, education, youth ministry, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working with youth in a church or educational setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency in basic digital tools such as Canva, Microsoft 365, and Mailchimp for other parish communications.
