Parenting Grant & Parish Ministry Coordinator

Full-Time- Remote | CrossRoad Institute

About CrossRoad Institute

CrossRoad Institute (CRI) is a dynamic and growing organization committed to helping inspire young people to develop a lifelong Orthodox faith. In addition to immersive programs for youth and young adults, we support parishes and parents in their sacred roles with young people. As we implement new research efforts on Orthodox parenting with parishes, we are seeking a highly organized, proactive Parenting Grant & Parish Ministry Coordinator to help drive two important areas of our ministry: our growing Parenting initiative and our annual Parish Ministry Gathering.

This is a project-management and coordination role for someone who loves turning ideas into action, creating structure, keeping complex projects moving, and working with people across parishes, ministries, and teams.

What You'll Do

The Coordinator will:

  • Own project plans, timelines, deadlines, and follow-up for CRI's Parenting initiative.
  • Coordinate relationships and communication with participating Orthodox parishes, clergy, parents, consultants, and partners.
  • Manage grant administration, deliverables, documentation, data tracking, evaluation, and budget coordination.
  • Coordinate Parenting programs, participant communication, registration, resources, and scheduling.
  • Work closely with the Parenting Director to move curriculum and program ideas from development into implementation.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator for CRI's annual Parish Ministry Gathering, including speakers, attendees, registration, communications, schedules, and event logistics.
  • Coordinate across CRI departments and proactively identify what needs to happen next to keep projects moving.

We're Looking for Someone Who

  • Has 3–5+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, nonprofit administration, event management, education, ministry, or a related field.
  • Is exceptionally organized and known for strong follow-through.
  • Can manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and moving pieces at once.
  • Takes initiative and doesn't need to wait for someone else to identify every next step.
  • Communicates warmly and professionally with clergy, parish leaders, participants, and colleagues.
  • Is comfortable managing project plans, budgets, documentation, data, and detailed logistics.
  • Can create systems and structures where they don't yet exist.

Experience with grants, conferences or retreats, parish/ministry settings, CRM or registration systems, and program evaluation is especially helpful. Familiarity with Orthodox Christianity and parish life is preferred.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being the person who makes things happen—bringing organization, accountability, hospitality, and excellent execution to ministry initiatives serving Orthodox families and parishes.
