Office Administrator

Responsibilities

Office Administration

  • Serve as the primary contact for individuals reaching out to the church office, including parishioners, visitors, and vendors
  • Oversee daily office functions and maintain an organized workspace
  • Track and manage inventory for office supplies and church-related materials
  • Assist with parish communications and coordination of ministry meetings and events

Clergy Support

  • Work closely with the parish priest to coordinate schedules and prepare necessary documents
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of weekly bulletins and materials needed for church services and parish communications

Financial & Bookkeeping Assistance

  • Support the parish treasurer/bookkeeper with deposits and financial record keeping
  • Enter and organize financial transactions and related documents for review
  • Maintain stewardship records and assist in generating financial reports when needed

Calendar & Facility Coordination

  • Manage the parish calendar and scheduling of church facilities and event spaces
  • Coordinate hall rentals and ensure availability for parish and community events
  • Communicate with facilities staff to ensure proper setup and readiness for scheduled events
  • Assist with coordinating property maintenance and service requests

Parish Council Support

  • Assist with parish mailings, announcements, and administrative needs of the Parish Council

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficent in both Greek & English
  • Strong organizational ability with careful attention to detail
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact respectfully with clergy, parishioners, and visitors
  • Ability to work proactively, prioritize tasks, and recommend improvements to office processes
  • High level of discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and Adobe software is a plus
  • Must pass a background check and sign a confidentiality agreement

Schedule & Compensation

  • Approximately 35 hours per week, in-person at the church office (10 AM - 5 PM)
  • $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience
  • Paid holidays, vacation time, and sick leave
