Marketing Coordinator
What You Will Do
The Marketing Coordinator will be an excellent writer and is responsible for our regular external communication with all our constituencies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creation of weekly Electronic News Bulletins (ENB’s) and other communication pieces
- Overseeing the schedule, drafting and delivery of supporter and external partner communications (such as receipt letters and repurposing of articles)
- Website/App content creation, posting, and monitoring
- Adapting to the needs of an evolving social media presence, and creating, and posting several times weekly to appropriate channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, Linkedin, etc.),
- Basic video shooting and editing (largely for social media needs)
- Maintenance of Mission Center media library
- Other duties as assigned
What We Are Looking For
Our future Marketing Coordinator will have strong communications skills and the technical expertise to create engaging content for stakeholders. Ideally, they will understand and/or be part of the Orthodox Christian community, although this is not mandatory. Preference for someone who is based at OCMC’s headquarters in St. Augustine, Florida.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or four years of previous experience in website design, public relations, or marketing
- Proven proficiency in using social media and other web-based content sharing technologies
- Experience with graphic design and the print production process
- Ability to update and make minor website modifications using content management system
- Experience in website design and coding is helpful
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and message consistency
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and meet deadlines
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Deep appreciation for Orthodox ecclesiology, parish life, and the role of clergy and laity in shared ministry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with donor management systems such as Raiser’s Edge a plus.
