Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment while contributing to meaningful projects. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to take on challenges that will enhance their skills and knowledge. The intern will be involved in a variety of assignments and projects on a wide range of issues and topics of relevance for the Church including, but not limited to Orthodox Unity in America, ecumenical dialogue/solidarity, interfaith collaboration, creation care, religious freedom advocacy, racial reconciliation, and UN advocacy.

Duties

  • Assist with daily operations and support various departments as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for ongoing projects.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support project initiatives.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members on tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion.
  • Support and create post for social media
  • Assist in event planning and execution
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and organizing files.

Requirements

  • Must be a college student.
  • Interested in Orthodox Christianity, ecumenical relations, interfaith collaboration, environmental advocacy, UN advocacy, racial care, and other Church-Society issues
  • Majors who should consider applying: International Studies, Political Science, Theology, Environmental Studies, American Studies, History, Humanitarian Studies, Medieval Studies, Middle East studies
  • Fluent in English ( verbal and written); knowledge of Greek is not required.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic-Intermediate proficiency in Canva, all Social Media Platforms
  • Basic knowledge of Orthodox Christian theology and Church's structure
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Previous internship or volunteer experience is a plus but not required.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
