Program Manager, FOCUS Detroit
Part-time: 15-20 hours per week
Location: FOCUS Detroit

The Fellowship of Orthodox Christians United to Serve (FOCUS) North America is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of part-time Program Manager for its FOCUS Detroit ministry location. Anticipated hours are between 15 and 20 hours per week.
The Program Manager will implement two new ministries: (i) The Nest, working with new mothers and children through programming, skills development, and distribution of basic needs for mom and baby; and (ii) Coffee and Connection, an opportunity for FOCUS Detroit to increase the capacity for serving our neighbors through hospitality over coffee, pastries, and the opportunity for those in need to shop for free clothing and other basic needs.
The role also includes some administrative responsibilities. The position reports to the FOCUS Detroit Center Director.
As an affiliated ministry of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America, qualified candidates should have knowledge of and a willingness to work within the framework of the Orthodox Church. The ideal candidate will also possess the following experience and/or skill sets:
- Service-minded
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once are essential
- Must reside in general proximity to FOCUS Detroit (7 Mile & Woodward)
- Comfort working with vulnerable communities
- Comfort working with single mothers and children, especially new mothers and children under 3
- Local travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Multilingual communities
