Hellenic College Course Description:

SCIN 2190: The Natural World 3 Credits Introduction to the principles underlying the sciences of Biology, Complexity, and Ecology. Students will also develop critical foundations for engaging with disciplines such as systems thinking, aesthetics, and social ethics.

When: Jan. 13- May 29, 2026
Method: In-Person instruction, format variable, hybrid optional
Where: Hellenic College (Brookline, MA) (3 hours total of instruction per week)

Education & Experience:

  • A candidate who has a BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, or Earth Science or a related field. 
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred.
  • The candidate should be someone who is comfortable with intimate classroom sizes, and has some familiarity with Orthodox Christianity and the Hellenic College mission.

Compensation:

$5000 for an Instructor with a Master's degree. $6000 for an Instructor possessing a PhD.
