Protopsaltis

St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church is looking to hire a chanter for Sunday and feastday services, as well as sacraments. 

Requirements:

• The applicant must have competence in chanting in English. 
• They need to be comfortable with chanting in the Byzantine style (8 tones). 
• Chanter will also be expected to set up for services and sacraments. 

They do not need to have a theology degree. 

The parish does approximately 200 services per year. This job is ideal for someone who has an at-home business or who works remotely, since it is part time, but the days and hours vary according to the schedule of services.
