We currently have openings for part time and full-time teaching positions in the elementary, middle, and high school classes for English, History, Mathematics, Science, Liturgical singing, and other electives for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year. Qualifications for all Teaching Positions
- Bachelor’s degree
- Teaching experience strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including children and adults with limited English
Job Functions
- Prepare and implement engaging lessons using the St. John’s curricula
- Assess student achievement using a variety of assessment tools
- Provide feedback to students about their progress in a timely, supportive manner
- Differentiate instruction for students with a variety of modes of learning
- Regularly communicate progress with students and their parents/guardians

- Have the spiritual maturity and leadership abilities to align with St. John’s Academy’s mission of providing a rigorous Classical education in a loving Orthodox environment

- Refrain from gossip of all nature
- Make an effort to appreciate and understand the uniqueness of the community of St. John’s Academy
