Intern - Ecumenical Department

The Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese seeks an intern beginning in Fall 2022 to support the initiatives and work of the Department in all its areas: Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations, as well as in the area of the United Nations and Church and Society. The intern will report to the Director and Coordinator of Programs of the Department.

Preferred Qualifications  

  •  Undergraduate college student or recent graduate, based in New York City and/or surrounding metropolitan areas with easy access to NYC;  
  • Background studies in International Relations/Studies, Political Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Global/Public Health, Environmental Studies or a similar area of study with a strong interest in international and domestic service;   
  • Interested in social issues, how the church responds, and the intersections of church and society;   
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language with strong verbal and written skills; comfortable speaking to people over the phone, in meetings, with the ability to build new relationships and partnerships; able to use and grow social media channels and messaging    
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to organize data well   
  • Stipend offered
