Ancient Faith Ministries (AFM) exists to carry out the Great Commission of Jesus Christ through accessible and excellently-crafted publications and creative media that educate, edify, and evangelize, leading to a living experience of God through His Holy Orthodox Church.

Position Summary
AFM seeks a dynamic and purpose-driven team leader as CEO. The CEO, working with the Board of Directors, will be responsible for crafting the organization’s strategic objectives, while leading and inspiring staff to achieve these objectives. As the organization’s senior leader and spokesperson, the CEO is directly responsible for overall organizational management, team- and culture-building, revenue generation through sales and fundraising, and overseeing donor and stakeholder relationships. Working with the board, the CEO will maintain best practices to lead delivery of AFM’s diverse product portfolio. The CEO oversees AFR media production and distribution, financial management, communication and marketing, and fundraising. They will leverage their experience within a faith-based context to ensure consistency and faithful delivery of the teachings of the Orthodox Church.
Responsibilities
Organizational Management Duties
Aligns, adheres and holds organization accountable to organization purpose, mission, vision and values.
Collaborates with board to establish strategic plan and is responsible to execute the plan with quarterly progress reporting to board.
Develops and implements metrics to measure organizational achievements
Support of all organizational functions, including the management of staff.
Develop and administer policies, standards, best practices, and safety/security measures for all operations.
Communicates vision and leads with passion within the organization, among stakeholders and the broader donor community.
Effectively manages current operations and promotes the development of new programs and services to meet changing market demands in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.
Coordinate and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with other Orthodox ministries and individual content creators.
Program Management Duties
Oversee and further develop AFM’s various ministries, including but not limited to publishing, broadcasting, and possible new mediums.
Evaluate, develop, and direct partnerships for new content, focusing on appropriateness and strategic value to AFM’s mission.
Ensure distribution models for content are optimal and drive improvements as needed to maintain relevancy and accessibility.
Oversee events and marketing activities that support the mission and growth of AFM.
Fundraising/Advancement Duties
Maintain a giving program strategy including but not limited to campaigns, planned giving, major giving, annual appeals, and special events.
Engage with the organization’s most important individual donor relationships, working closely with the Board, ensuring timely and effective donor relationship building, strategic solicitations, and appropriate donor stewardship.
Manage existing external communications, assess current efforts and available organizational capacity; recommend future communications strategies and tactics to participant, volunteer, and donor engagement.
Financial Management Duties
Work closely with board and financial management staff to develop the organization’s annual budget.
Manages the organization’s resources within operating, capital expenditure, and cash flow budgets.
Review and approve monthly financial reporting and distribute to board chair.
Assures compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and copyright regulations and standards for broadcasting and media organizations.
Qualifications
Must be an Orthodox Christian in good standing
Must display a growth mindset, team-first outlook and be motivated by a passion for ministry.
10+ years of progressive operational management experience, preferably within a faith-based organization; 5 years’ minimum in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility.
Experience working with a board of directors for strategic planning and fundraising campaign development.
Must have strong knowledge of the theology, traditions, and structure of the Orthodox Church, with the ability to determine when content does and does not conform to these standards.
Must be able and willing to work with and include individuals from diverse backgrounds and various Orthodox jurisdictions.
Key Competencies
Agility, able to react quickly to business and partnership opportunities and execute based on defined processes.
Understanding of various forms of media (radio, podcast, etc.)
Coaching and mentoring mindset; ability to align diverse personalities toward common goals.
Must be authorized and eligible to work in the United States.
Compensation
Competitive and negotiable based upon experience. Health insurance coverage will be provided.
Location and Travel
Preferred work location is Chesterton, IN (AFM headquarters location). Other locations near core AFM studios may be considered.
The CEO will be required to travel regularly to support AFM events and in support of AFM’s development/fundraising campaign.
