Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree or doctorate preferred
- Teaching experience in an elementary, middle, or high school setting, preferably an Orthodox Christian educational institution, and/or classical academy, and/or traditional Christian setting
- Administrative and/or leadership experience in an educational setting or experience providing professional development and/or formal mentoring to colleagues
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with a variety of stakeholders, including children and adults with limited English

- Be a practicing Orthodox Christian in good standing with the Church
- Be a role model in attitude, speech and actions toward others
- Have the spiritual maturity and leadership abilities to align with St. John’s Academy’s mission of providing a rigorous Classical education in a loving Orthodox environment
- Exemplify a dedication to the Transcendentals--Truth, Goodness, and Beauty--and demonstrate additional character qualities such as servant leadership, humility, integrity, courage, enthusiasm, strength, courtesy, flexibility, gratitude, and wellness qualities such as energy, grit, and perseverance

- Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, parents and colleagues
