The Greek Archdiocese of America is a religious not-for-profit organization. "The mission of the Archdiocese is to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, to teach and spread the Orthodox Christian Faith, to energize, cultivate and guide the life of the Church in the United States of America according to the Orthodox Christian Faith and Tradition".
The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America is seeking a full-time administrative assistant that will organize, prepare and maintain various programs, be a liaison to a financial committee of a small organization and provide assistance to the Chancellor, as well as support special projects.
1-2 years experience. Speaking Greek and English is ideal.
Principal Areas of Responsibilities
Liaison role (30% of time spent in these area)
Work with Chancellor and the Direct Archdiocese District organization including the Finance Committee to coordinate specific financial and non-financial tasks,
Website and Program Maintenance (20% of time spent in these area)
Plan and implement virtual or in-person seminars and sessions e.g., Marriage Prep, etc.; Manage Retired Clergy Program etc.; Responsible for book order and fulfillment process. Ensure that website is accurate and up to date.
Administration (50% of time spent in these area)
Scheduling, calendaring, including managing vacation calendar that ensures coverage is in place before travels; Planning, coordinating and implementing special events and projects; Perform various ratifications and verifications; Draft written communication to support placement assignments and onboarding.
