Hellenic College, Inc. is a center of higher education founded by,associatedwith,andsupportedbytheGreekOrthodoxArchdioceseofAmerica.The undergraduate college offers various programs leading to abachelor’s degree, and the graduate school offers three programs leading toa master’s degree.  Its mission is theformation and the education of the person within the life of an OrthodoxChristian community. To that end, it educates men for the holy priesthood ofthe Greek Orthodox Archdiocese and other Orthodox Christian entities,as well as men and women for leadership roles in Church, chosenprofessions, and society

 

 

Summary of Position

Coordinate aspects of student life to ensure that students are in a safe environment conducive to providing a living experience which enhances individual growth and development at Hellenic College Holy Cross. 


Job Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Student Development:

·         Facilitate, supervise and coordinate student programming and HCHC community building

·         Coordinate and participate in the planning and execution of a variety of college-wide activities and programs, including New Student Orientation, Graduation, and other community events

·         Collaborate with student campus organizations and cultivate student leaders

·         Develop and implement strategies for increasing student participation rates in campus organizations and activities.

Administrative:

·         Attend weekly departmental, committee, and individual meetings

·         Must have ability to work well with others and the desire to work in a student-centered environment

·         Assume other responsibilities as assigned by Interim Dean of Students


Education & Experience

 

·         Bachelors Degree in Student Affairs or related field preferred

·         Experience in a Higher Education Student Life/ Student affairs in a campus setting a plus

·         Demonstrated experience in planning, designing, and/or implementing events and activities

·         Ability to understand and identify with the teachings and values of the Orthodox Christian Faith

·         Strong student development focus

·         Female preferred
