Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher Position

Position Summary:

Seeking an enthusiastic Pre-K Teacher to lead a classroom of young children in a variety of educational Center based activities including Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arts and Crafts, Dramatic and Free play, Storytelling and Class Outings. Patience, compassion, and energy are all vital qualities of a successful Pre-K Teacher. You should be capable of inspiring, encouraging, and developing young children, each of whom will have different abilities, needs, and personalities. Top candidates will also have a creative mindset and strong administrative skills to plan and execute lesson plans which are memorable, innovative, and achieve the desired learning outcomes. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach 3-4 year old children about core concepts (e.g., numbers, letters, shapes, and colors).
  • Instill literacy skills to prepare and assist children with reading.
  • Use creative, hands-on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
  • Plan a curriculum that addresses early childhood education Illinois State Standards and Requirements.
  • Encourage and monitor social interactions between children.
  • Foster a sense of respect and discipline so that children work effectively in a social setting.
  • Supervise children outside of class time (e.g., during lunch, outside on the playground, or on field trips).
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized classroom.
  • Set-up materials and centers required for class activities.
  • Communicate and work in partnership with parents to ensure all parties are informed and have a holistic understanding of each student.
  • Complete Progress Reports to inform parents about their children’s growth at school.

Requirements:

  • College Degree required. Preferably with a focus on early childhood learning
  • Preferred experience teaching children in 3-4 year old age group.
  • Ability to educate with age-appropriate language and teaching methods.
  • Patience, optimism, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy.
  • Mediation skills to resolve conflicts between children.
  • Creative mindset to plan innovative, exciting lessons.
  • Familiarity using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to stand as a positive role model for impressionable minds.

Kindergarten Teacher Position

Position Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children. Teaching in kindergarten includes planning, implementing, and assessing lessons. You will teach children with patience and creativity. Kindergarten Teacher duties include designing a teaching plan and using activities and instructional methods to motivate children. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Design and follow a complete teaching plan.
  • Teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social,
  • and emotional skills.
  • Organize learning material and resources.
  • Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs,
  • stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc)
  • to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with parents and
  • provide appropriate information.
  • Assess students’ performance and progress to ensure they
  • are mastering the skills on regular basis
  • Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and
  • sharing.
  • Cooperate with administration staff.
  • Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety
  • regulations.

Requirements and Skills

  • BS Degree in Education and relevant license/certificate.
  • Proven working experience as a Kindergarten Teacher.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred.
  • Clear criminal background check

Assistant Teacher Position

Posting Summary:

We are looking to hire an attentive Assistant Teacher to perform all duties necessary as directed by the Lead Teacher. The Assistant Teacher’s responsibilities assisting the Lead Teacher in classroom room schedule, management, interactive and introducing children to new, age-appropriate skills, and sanitizing all toys and play areas. You should also be able to identify and address behavioral problems. Ultimately, an exceptional Assistant Teacher will cultivate a safe and loving environment that is conducive to growth and learning. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing age-appropriate socialization skills in children.
  • Encouraging positive behavior and good manners.
  • Using various learning methods such as Center based activities, stories, games, and drawing to intellectually stimulate children.
  • Identifying behavioral problems and developing appropriate strategies to address them.
  • Attending staff meetings, conferences, and workshops.
  • Providing a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.

Assistant Teacher Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Assistant Teachers must have a high school diploma or GED and must work under direct supervision of an Early Childhood Lead Teacher.
  • Proven experience working as an Assistant Teacher.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR is preferred.
  • Clear criminal background check.
  • In-depth understanding of childhood development.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attentive and patient.
